06/01/2017 Paul had the Frank Zoltansky charter on board today. Filling out Frank's crew were Chris, Joe, Tom, Bob & Gary. Paul got right on the big Seabass today and the boys got their early limit. We finished the day Inshore trolling Spoons in search of the elusive mid day, bright sun Striped Bass which proved to be quite elusive today. Otherwise it was a beautiful day on the water with a great bunch of happy anglers. I am running Open Boat Striped Bass trips on June 19th, 21st & 23rd. E-mail me or call 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.
05/30/2017 The Dave Dry charter was on board today. Fishing with Dave were Matt, David, Juan, Issac & Kayla. Paul cleared the Inlet into less than desirable sea conditions. That did not stop our crew from putting together a limit catch of Seabass. However in the process a few succumbed to ocean motion. Paul came inshore to try Spooning for Striped Bass for a while but only had one good bite which unfortunately did not stay on. Kayla caught the most Keepers today as well as the largest Seabass. Better luck next time Dave. A tough day with a good crew. Dave will be back for his annual Striped Bass charter next week.
05/28/2017 Paul had the Tom Raymond crew from Betty & Nicks Tackle on board today. Along with Tom were Dan, Bryan. Justin, Nick & Hal. Paul worked a few drops and each gave up some nice Seabass. It took a while but the guys put a boat limit catch on ice. With some time left we decided to once again come inshore and try for a few Striped Bass. We were late for the tide change but did manage to put a nice 30# Bass in the Box. Another great day with a great group of guys and some beautiful weather.
05/27/2017 Capt. Paul had the Bill Zuchero charter on board today. Fishing with Bill were his usual crew of Mike, Jon, Tom, Ron & Cody. Paul made drops on a couple spots and the fishing was good. In a few hours we had our boat limit of nice size Seabass. Then we decided to spend some time Inshore searching for Striped Bass. Paul got on some good reads immediately and put out the TGT Spoons. We had our first fish on within a few minutes a nice 46" Bass. We followed that shortly with a double hook up. The first Bass at 45" the second at 47" and weighing 37 lbs. Our last Bass came in at 45". After the hour of fast paced action it was decided to head for home. Always fun to fish with Bill's crew. They will be back in a few weeks.
05/26/2017 The Keith Toboada Charter was on board Friday for the Opening Day of the Seabass Season. Along with Keith were Carl, Russ, Ryan, Pete & Brad. Paul cleared the Inlet and headed out to a favorite drop and the guys were not disappointed. The 6 man limit of 60 Seabass was in the box in no time. Paul came back inshore and spent time Trolling for Striped Bass but the reads were scarce so the charter decided to call it a day and head for home.
05/24/2017 The Ed Dempsey charter joined Capt. Paul today for a day of Striped Bass fishing. Making up Ed's crew we buddies Josi, Chris, An, Mike & Chris V. Fishing was tough today we had to cover a lot of miles attempting to locate the Bass. When we finally found the target we got one shot at them and that was it for the day. The one shot produced 3 hook ups. We dropped one but landed the next two. Both nice fish with one coming in at 41" and the second at 44". It was a long tough day with a good crew.
05/22/2017 The Clay Wurmster Charter was on board today. Along with Clay were Bill, Cheryl, Clint & Don. This was their first Striped Bass charter and they were anxious to go despite the rain and marginal conditions. We cleared the Inlet into a pouring rain and slight roll out of the east. Paul ran back to where we had them yesterday and we put out the TGT Spoons. The reads were spread out and the bites came slow but over the course of a few hours the group managed to put 3 nice Bass into the boat. It became obvious by mid morning that Ocean Motion was taking it's toll on the group and they requested that we fish a short day.
