10/25/15 Paul ran the Fall Season's first Striped Bass charter today. On board we had the Bob Castor charter. Filling out Bob's crew were Brandon, Pat, Bob, Bill & RJ. We made the ride to the north and caught the start of the outgoing tide. Trolling was the name of the game today and it did not take long to put our first 40" Bass on ice. 20 minutes later we boxed our big fish of the day when a nice 45" Bass went into the box. When the area dried up we moved a few miles and were into a good bite of smaller Bass. The crew put another 5 Bass into the cooler between 33" & 37". We finished the day with 7 Bass. It was a good day with a great crew.
10/24/15 The Bill Zuchero charter was on board the Bounty Hunter today. Filling out Bill's crew were Tom, Amber, Chris, Ron & Jon. We were greeted at the Inlet by a brisk NE wind but conditions were totally fishable. Paul made stops on a few pieces and the crew started to pick 15 to 25 nice size keepers on each stop. After the 4th stop we had our limit catch of 90 Seabass on ice and we called it a day at Noon. Spent an enjoyable morning with a great group. Everyone went home with a bag of Fillets. 5 Spots are still available on the Open Boat Seabass sailing scheduled for Oct. 29th. These fish are already moving so don't miss out. E-mail or call me at 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.
10/22/15 Capt. Paul had Don Beshada on board for a brief 4 hour Seabass charter today. Paul made 3 stops and found Seabass on each drop. Don's crew picked thru the shorts and after 3 hours of fishing they had a nice catch of 40 Seabass in the box. We were back at the dock at 11AM with a happy crew. 5 Spots are still available for the Open Boat Seabass trip scheduled for Oct. 29th. Don't miss out on this Inshore action as the Seabass are on the move and the good fishing will not last long. Call me at 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.
09/19/15 Capt. Paul had the David Tiegs charter on board the Bounty Hunter today. Along with Dave Were his dad Ray and brothers Brian & Mike. All 4 were first time Bucktailers and we went thru the usual morning learning curve. It did not matter as the dense Fog and lack of drift which lasted most of the day made for tough conditions. The crew landed several short Fluke a few big Bluefish along with a couple of nice size Seabass. The guys gave it a maximum effort but conditions were against us. This could be our last Fluke trip of the season as the next few days may see some high winds and a rough ocean. We still have a few open dates for Seabass and Striped Bass charters. If your thinking about getting out now is the time to call and book your day.
09/16/15 The Tyler Duesman Charter was on board the Bounty Hunter today. Along with Tyler were Milton, Emma & Kevin. Paul headed offshore to the Bluefish/Mackerel grounds and set up on good reads. It did not take long to get a good bite going. The Mackerel out numbered the blues today but that did stop the crew from putting a nice catch in the box. At 12:30 they all had enough and it was decided to head for home. The weather was perfect and we spent the day with a great group of people. We will be sailing Open Boat Fluke trips on the last 2 days of the Fluke season. Friday Sept. 25th & Saturday Sept.26th. Call me at 732-323-8700 To reserve a spot.
09/12/15 The Jeff Adiletta charter was on board today. Filling out Jeff's group were Bill, Javier, Jim. Dom & Tony. Paul made the ride to the offshore grounds and set up on some good reads. The ocean conditions made for an uncomfortable drift so we anchored up and jigged. Jeff and his crew had the Blues and Mackerel on within a few minutes and enjoyed a non stop bite. When they had what they wanted they went into the release mode until they called it a day. We spent the day with a great bunch of guys who toughed it out in less than desirable conditions. Spots are available for our Open Boat Fluke trips on Sept. 13th, 14th & 15th. The Fluke season closes on Sept. 26th, So call today to reserve your spot.
09/06/15 The Joe Dittus charter joined Paul for a day of Fluke fishing. Along with Joe were Mike, Shannon, Joe , Chris & Nick. Paul headed back up north where the fishing has been decent for the last few trips. We only had 2 Bucktailers on board as the remaining 4 were all new to the game. We caught the end of the tide and put 5 keepers in the box. The bite died with the tide change and all we had were a couple of shorts and the usual Seabass bites. With the change the Fluke turned on again and the crew added another 4 nice Fluke to the catch. The last hour was spent fighting a mad dog bite by the Skates and Sand Sharks. Another good weather day and we spent it with a great group. Spots are still available for the Open Boat Fluke trips scheduled for Sept. 8th, 9th 10th & 11th. Call me at 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.
