07/04/2016 Capt. Paul ran his first July Open Boat Fluke trip today. On board we had regulars Mike, Paul, Mark & Dave along with first timer Tyshon. It was a great weather day. However we fought wind against the tide conditions for most of the day. The guys gave it a great effort and put together a decent catch of 8 Keeper Fluke along with to many shorts to count. Dave had the big fish for the day a fat 28" Fluke followed by Mike's 27" fish. We started the Fluke season with a great crew and we are sure they will all be back soon. 1 Spot is open on the June 8th Open Boat Fluke trip and 2 Spots are open for the July 9th Open Boat Fluke trip. Bigger fish are moving in. Don't miss out. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.
06/25/2016 Capt. Paul had the Tom Marchese charter on board the Bounty Hunter today. Filling out Tom's crew were his 2 sons Riley and Tommy along with John, Melvin & Louis. Paul ran to the north today searching for Bait & Bass reads but had little success. Crossing over to NY he then searched to the East. Finally finding Bait with an occasional Bass read he then put out the Trolling gear. Over the next few hours we went 1 for 4 on the Bass. The lone Bass we landed weighed 30 lbs. That was the extent of the action for the day. It was a long 30 Mile run home in the afternoon. Tom and his crew along with the crew of the Bounty Hunter gave it their best shot but unfortunately we all came up short today. Paul is cancelling his last couple of Striper charters and will be Fluke fishing in July, Open Boat Fluke trips are scheduled for July 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th & 8th. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your spots.
06/24/2016 Paul had the Heather Elam charter on board today. Making up the group were Eric, Reed, Michael, Nate, Bret & Joe. Paul ran back to the area where he had them yesterday but no one was home. No bait, No Bass. Starting a search pattern Paul put out 2 Spoons and a Mojo. It wasnt to long when the Rod with the Chartreuse Mojo took a good bend and we were hooked up. After a good fight the Bass was gaffed and we knew we had a big fish. A quick measurement put it at 53" and it weighed in at 51 Lbs. This one we didn't Bleed before checking. The rest of the morning was spent Trolling on small bait reads and picking an occasional Bass. We finished with 6 Overs and never seen an Under. We covered a lot of miles for 6 Bass but it was worth the effort. The charter was happy and they all went home with plenty of Bass to enjoy. Call 732-323-8700 To reserve a spot on our 3 Open Boat Striper trips scheduled for June 28th, 29th & 30th.
06/23/2016 Capt. Paul ran his first afternoon Striper charter of the season today. On board we had the Don Beshada Charter. Don could not make it today due to business commitments but he did send his friends Bret, Patricia & Steve. We left the dock at 3PM and were on the bunker and Bass within an hour. Our first bites came while pulling Spoons but once hooked up the others would throw Livies and Poppers into the feeding frenzy and we would have 3 or 4 on at a time. Could only describe the fishing as Spectacular. At 7:30PM the charter had their fill of the action and we started for home with a Boat Limit catch of 6 Overs and 6 Unders on ice. For the afternoon we had well over 25 hookups with our largest Bass weighig in at 49.4lbs. after being bled. We had good weather, good crew and great fishing. It don't get any better. Spots are still available for our scheduled Open Boat Striper trips on June 28th, 29th & 30th. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your spots.
06/22/2016 Capt. Paul had the Spencer Comtois charter on board today. Fishing with Spencer was his 9 year old son Daniel. Spencer and Daniel with some assistance from Mate Garrett quickly filled the well and we were off in search of our first Bass of the day. Once on the nervous schools of Bunker the Livies and Poppers produced some nice Bass. We went 5 for 10 on the Bass landing 4 Unders and 1 Over and missing 5. Spencer had the biggest Bass today which weighed in at 42 Lbs. However young Daniel took high hook honors. Spots are still available for our Open Boat Striped Bass trips scheduled for July 28th, 29th & 30th. This run is not going to last much longer. Now is the time to call 732-323-8700 and reserve your spot.
06/20/2016 Capt. Paul ran another Open Boat Striped Bass trip today. On board we had Bounty Hunter regular Mark along with newcomers Matt, Sean, Pat, Tyler & Frank. Got our usual early start and loaded the Well with Bunker. Paul had no trouble locating the Bunker schools and Bass reads. The problem was getting the bites. We live lined all morning without a touch. Finally put out the Spoons and landed our first Bass. A short time later we pulled the hook on our second Bass due to some aggressive Rod handling. That was it for the day. A long day with a good bunch of guys. As is the case lately there was a late afternoon Mad Dog Bass bite at 6PM. It was a bit late for us. Spots are still available for our Open Boat Bass trips on June 28, 29 & 30. E-Mail or call 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.
06/19/2016 Paul had the Luke Catanzaro charter on board the Bounty Hunter today. Along with Luke were Carl, Marco & Franco. We started the day by letting the guys Snag Bunker and fill the well. After that we spent most of the morning chasing and working the Bunker schools without any bites or misses. Paul finally decided to put out the Trolling gear and it was not long before we had 2 nice Bass in the boat. Acting on info that a bite started up to the north Paul pulled the gear and made the run up to the grounds. Resuming the Troll we boated another 2 nice Bass giving us 4 for the day while missing 1. The largest weighed in at 42 lbs. All the catching was done with Spoons & Plugs. Live bunker did not produce a touch. Spots are still available for the Open Boat Striper trips scheduled for June 21st, 28th, 29th & 30th. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.
