05/23/2016 The Bryan Stein charter got out with Capt. Paul today. Along with Bryan were Robb, Bruce, Kyle, Dan & Tim. Paul got into the Bunker schools and the guys spent a few hours snagging & dropping. After a few hours without a touch it was decided to go on the Troll. Trolling was the way to go for us as the guys slowly put together a nice catch of big Bass. When we called it a day we had gone 4 for 6 on Bass and missed a couple. The largest Bass was 48" in length and weighed in at 42 lbs. It was a great weather day and we fished with a good crew. Spots are still available for my Open Boat SEABASS trips on June 1st & 2nd. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.

05/22/2016 The Chris Grogan charter was on board today. Along with Chris were Sean, Jim, Chris-O, & Jim. We cleared the Inlet into a 7 Ft. residual heave from yesterday's wind. We knew it was going to be tough day when we had a few bumps and misses on the Spoons. One Bass finally got a Spoon and we had our first and only Bass of the day. By 11AM ocean motion had taken over and the charter was no longer interested in fishing. We were back at the dock shortly thereafter. I am running Open Boat SEABASS trips on May 26th & 31st also on June 1st & 2nd. Spots are still available. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.

05/21/2016 Capt. Paul had the Bill Zuchero charter on board today. Along with Bill were Cody, Chris, Tom, Jon & Matt. After yesterday's good fishing expectations were high. Paul got on the Bass & bait reads early and we had our first Bass in the boat early. She weighed in at 38 1/2 lbs. After that the next bites never came. We stayed on the reads all day and never got another touch. It was frustrating for the charter and more so for the Captain and Mate. A day that all would like to forget. Paul will be sailing Open Boat SEABASS trips on May 26th & 31st also June 1st & 2nd. Spots are still available. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your Spot.

05/20/2016 The Ed Warters charter was on the Bounty Hunter today. Along with Ed were Christina, Ed, Craig, Francesco & Bob. Paul went back to the area where he caught his big Bass yesterday. Finding the Bass and Blue reads scattered Paul decided the conditions were made for Trolling. Ed's crew was not disappointed as the Spoons produced a Limit catch of nice Bass along with 6 Bluefish. As usual it was nice to fish with Ed and his crew. I am running Open Boat SEABASS trips on May 26th & 31st also on June 1st & 2nd. Spots are still available. Call me at 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.

05/19/2016 We ran an Open Boat Striped Bass trip today. On board we had John, Jessica, Mike, Nick & Eric. Paul ran a few miles north and although he did not find any Bunker or Bass he got in on a good Bluefish bite. The group Jigged over 40 Blues keeping 10 and releasing the rest. A ride of a few miles got us out of the Blues and into the Bunker. Putting out the Spoons the Bass fishing was slow until a rod took a good bend and started to peel lie. It was Eric's turn on the rod and everyone knew he had a quality Bass on the line. It was our only Bass for the day but it was a good one. It was 51" long had a Girth of 28" and tipped the scales at just under 51 lbs. She was Spawned out but had 4 very large Bunker in her stomach. I am sailing Open Boat Seabass Trips on May 26th & 31st and June 1st & 2nd. Spots are still available. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.

05/17/2016 Today We had the Dan Cells charter on board the Bounty Hunter. Making up Dan's crew were Brandon, Charlie, & Ron. Paul decided to sail south and see if there were any Bass coming up from the south. We got into the Bunker reads and put out the Spoons. After a couple of hours of Trolling we had nothing to show for our effort. Switching over to Snag & Drop fishing was not productive either. A final effort with the Spoons in deeper water saved the day for us as we went 2 for 3 on a couple of nice Bass. The 3rd Bass was lost at the transom. It was a calm day on the ocean with just an occasional shower and it was fun fishing with Dan's crew. I am running Open Boat SEABASS trips on May 26th & 31st also on June 1st & 2nd. Spots are still available. E-mail or call me at 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.

05/16/2016 The Chris Cameroni Charter was on board today. Joining Chris were Carmine, Pete, Anthony, Chris & Jack. We cleared the Inlet expecting the wind to decrease as the day went on. Paul put out the Spoons and within an hour we had our first Bass which measured at 47" and weighed in at 39 lbs. By mid morning the wind came on and we found ourselves in a full blown Gale with winds of 30 + knots. It was a bit sporty for the charter and Trolling a course was difficult. We called it a day early and were back at the dock by mid day. I am running Open Boat SEABASS trips on May 26th & 31st and June 1st & 2nd. Spots are still available. Call 732-323-8700 to reserve your spot.
